What people ask us most.
General answers. Every case is reviewed at the first consultation.
Does a divorce have to go to court?
Not always. When both agree, a divorce by mutual consent can be filed at the Civil Registry Office. Without agreement, it goes to court.
Who gets custody of the children?
It depends on the best interests of the child. Shared residence and joint parental responsibilities are now common. We look at your specific case.
What is a declaration of heirs?
It is the document that identifies the heirs. It is the first step to deal with the bank accounts, property and other assets of the deceased.
Can a foreigner make a will in Portugal?
Yes. Anyone with assets in Portugal can make a will here. We explain which law applies to your estate and how to avoid problems.
